Message from the President & CEO

Thanks to valuable input and support from donors like you, our team of Lung Association staff and Board members recently met to start working on our strategic plan for 2018-2021, which will serve as a roadmap in our effort to reduce the burden of lung disease in Nova Scotia. We're fine-tuning this document and expect we'll be able to share this exciting plan with you in the coming months.

The Winter can be a difficult time for many people, especially for those living with lung disease. If you're able to, please join us at one of the many events we will be attending or hosting in the coming months. With your help, we ARE making real change with regards to lung disease in Nova Scotia.

If you or someone you know suffers from lung disease, we would love to hear your story. The more awareness we can create around lung disease, the greater impact we will be able to have in reducing it. Please send any stories to michelledonaldson@ns.lung.ca

WE NEED USED MACHINE DONATIONS!
From a recent phone conversation:

I am on oxygen therapy and can't leave my home. The last time I left my house, I ran out of oxygen and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. Oxygen tanks only last for a short while, so I stay home 99% of the time. A portable oxygen concentrator would keep me from being a prisoner in my own home, but it is $400 PER WEEK!

...

This person was looking for a refusbished oxygen concetrator but we have none. Please consider donating your USED CPAP, BiPAP, Nebulizers and Oxygen Concentrators. Ask about TAX RECEIPTS for some donations.
