Lung Transplant Support Fund

At the Lung Association of Nova Scotia, we recognize what a burden it can be for families to deal with the extra costs of travel &  living expenses while waiting for a lung transplant out-of-province. Beginning in January, 2018, anyone on the wait list for a lung transplant out-of-province is eligible to apply for a one-time $1000 travel assistance funding. This can either be applied for when relocating for the transplant operation or when required to go for assessment. Financial support is also available to patients who are post-transplant and looking for assistance with fitness-related fees ($200).*

The Lung Transplant Support Fund is a program of the Lung Association of Nova Scotia that is designed to offer modest support ($1000) to individuals who have to travel out-of-province to receive a lung transplant.*
